AMPLIFICATION & LABELLING

Chlamydia | Influenza A | Mycobacterium | Mycoplasma

Extracted nucleic acid from the sample is amplified by PCR (2 primers) and biotin labelled.

HYBRIDIZATION & STAINING

The resulting biotin labelled PCR products are stringently hybridized to a set of highly discriminative probes that are covalently bound onto the microarrays. The biotin labelled DNA bound to the probes on the array is subsequently stained.

DETECTION & ANALYSIS

The arrays are scanned and analyzed by the ArrayMate™ or ATR03™. The reader allows a visualization of the array, analyzes the information and provides a concise result of the test. The presence of a dark spot indicates a successful hybridization. Alere Technologies software measures the signal intensity of each probe.
